- Can I have more than one Magic Mirror in my world?
- Yes, but you can only have one as a mirror only regardless of whether it is a single side mounted to a wall or a a 1-way mounted in a hole in the wall or just free standing.
- What happens if I mount 2 Magic Mirrrors as just mirrors?
- Doing this makes the security camera and monitor mirrors. The first one made is the monitor and the second one made is the camera.
- What happens if I add a 3rd mirror only and none are locked?
- If the 3 Magic Mirrors are within sight of one anothers mounting place regardless if you can see the mirror or not, they all show the last Magic Mirror mounted's reflected image in all the other mirrors. The other 2 magic Mirrors stop working as mirrors. WARNING! I have not tested what impact this will have on the games FPS if you keep adding Magic Mirrors for multiple monitors. Use at your own risk of crashing your game!
- Can I safely add as many portrait locked Magic Mirrors as I want?
- Yes, this is perfectly fine, the adding or destroying of any locked Magic Mirror doesn't change any image in any other Magic Mirror that is locked or not locked.
- If I put a Magic Mirror in an opening in a wall what do I see when standing on either side of the Magic Mirror?
- You will see the other side if you are on the "backside" of that Magic Mirror however anyone on the other side can't see you thus making it a one way mirror effect.
- Can you summarize what the different features a Magic Mirror can have?
-
A. Mount one Magic Mirror and leave it unlocked = Just a simple mirror.
-
B. Mount two Magic Mirrors and leave them unlocked = The first mounted becomes a monitor and the second becomes a camera as long as they are placed within visible to one another distances regardless if you can't see either mirror.
-
C. Mount one Magic Mirror and lock it with F7 hotkey = This Magic Mirror becomes a permanent portrait of whatever was directly in front of it when you pressed the F7 hotkey.
-
D. Mount multiple Magics Mirror as locked portraits = Multiple independent permanent portraits that you can destroy one or more without any effect on the other ones.
-
E. Mount one Magic Mirror and lock it to become a portrait in an open hole in a wall or as free standing = Both sides show the same image so you see the same locked image on either side.
-
F. Mount one Magic Mirror and leave it unlocked as a mirror in an open hole in a wall or as free standing = The "front side" acts like a regular mirror while the "backside" becomes a 1-way mirror sides show the same image so you see the same locked image on either side.
- How do I change the size of the mirror?
- If you are using a configuration manger like Azu's (https://valheim.hexium.gg/mods/Azumatt/Azus_UnOfficial_ConfigManager) ,then you can select which size you want BEFORE clicking the Mirror icon to build one. If you don't have a configuration manager then you have to logout and log back in after manually changing the default. I highly reco0mmend using a configuration manager.
- Are Magic Mirrors affected by weather?
- No, however anything that is that you mounted it to might poke through into your image if it starts to wear and tear from weatrher or attack damage as well.
- Can Magic Mirror free float in the air?
- No, they must touch a supported structure.
- Sometimes when placing a Magic Mirror it looks messed up or doesn't reflect what's in front of it?
- You probably have the backside facing you so just spin it around with your mouse. If that isn't the issue it is most likely due to you having more than 2 mirrors within close proximity to each other. Sometimes when mounting a Magic Mirror it might not work as it should, simply delete it and remount it as the camera in Valheim gets lost on occasion.
