Your group at a glance – while you play and in the inventory.
📝 What you see
- Bars: health, stamina, eitr and adrenaline – with numbers
- Food with remaining time, guardian power with cooldown
- Status effects with time – debuffs framed red
- Distance and direction, leader crown and state (combat, helm, mining, AFK …)
🔔 Only when it matters (AutoShow)
AutoShow = Fade: calm cards fade out – they pop up on their own when something happens- What makes a card pop up: combat, low health, death, food running out, bad effects (Poisoned, Burning …) or a member far away
- Per event you choose what pops up – bars, food, effects or everything:
PopUpCombat,PopUpLowHealth,PopUpDeath,PopUpFood,PopUpBadEffect,PopUpFarAway - Sitting down, lying in bed or sleeping calms the card right away
- Other modes:
Hide– calm cards disappear completely ·PopUp– cards stay visible and only show more for a moment ·Off– always the same - Fine-tuning:
FadeOpacity(how visible calm cards stay) andCalmSeconds(how long a card stays up) - New players start with
Fade– if you played before, AutoShow stays Off until you switch it on
🎛️ Compact mode
- The –/=/+ button sets what you see while playing: only bars (+) → bars and food (=) → bars and effects (≡) → everything (–)
- In the inventory you always see everything
- Hover the button: it shows what is set now and what a click does
AutoCompact = false: the step applies everywhere – your own card still shows your effects in the inventory
🧹 Less clutter
- Your own card is hidden for new players – switch it on with
ShowSelf = true; hide any member with × - Switch off single parts in the config:
ShowFood,ShowEffects,ShowGuardianPower,ShowState,ShowBarNumbers… - Size:
PanelScale· fewer effects:EffectsPerRow,MaxEffectRows - Hide single effects: right-click an effect (e.g. Wisplight) – the group menu lists hidden effects, Show brings one back, Show all brings back all
💡 Tips
- Hover an effect or food (inventory open) for its tooltip – the full Valheim description with all values
- Not in a group, or your own card hidden? Hover your own food and guardian power in the vanilla HUD (bottom left) – and your effects (top right) where no window covers them
- Click a name to see that player on the map
- Layout, size and position → Windows & layout
