I only see portals near our base. Other portals will show up once I go there and interact with them, but will stop showing up again once I log back into the game. Playing on a dedicated server, with the server and client having the latest version. No other portal mods present.
Edit. Is there a hidden range setting? Portals start showing up when I get within 100-150m.
You have a mod that messes up the networking traffic. Gizmo and BetterNetworking are examples of this.

We don't have those or any other portal mods installed.
Yeah, those were just examples, not an exhaustive list.

Thanks for the help mate. I tried with all other mods removed but no go, so I have removed this for now and will try another time with a frest start. A huge thanks for all the effort you and other mod creators put in to make these games so much better.

I am having the same problem. I have had crossplay turned off and I do not have (and never have had) either Gizmo or better networking. Happy to give a list of my mods and do a compare maybe?
Hopefully fixed in 1.2.7.
really sorry to say still going - I am going to do a clean rebuild of my server tonight and see if that fixes it - keeping the saves, world etc. Will let you know how I get on
