Yeah you are correct. They are visible after tweaking settings. Had to do with depth in my river hiding them.

Nah it's fine! I get how going through settings like this is. Focus haha. Yea they vanish on default but after tweaking it, I now see them.

I play on riverheim and that means lots of rivers and I believe the depth is why mine are vanishing.
