MeowHeim_PortalKeystone
Adds the Portal Keystone, a stone that holds one wood portal's materials. Craft it from your inventory, carry a few in one slot, and build a portal with it.
What it does
- The Portal Keystone is crafted from your inventory, with no crafting station: 20 Fine Wood, 10 Greydwarf Eyes and 2 Surtling Cores by default.
- Keystones stack to 3 and weigh 5 each by default.
- The wood portal costs one keystone to build. Taking the portal down gives the keystone back.
- Portals built before you install this give a keystone back when you take them down.
- The stone portal is unchanged.
- The hammer shows the portal once you have held a keystone.
Install
Every player and the server need this installed. A client or server without it cannot connect to one that has it, and everyone has to be on the same version. It needs Jotunn.
Settings
The server's settings apply to everyone, and only admins can change them in game: the keystone's crafting cost and its weight. A new weight applies to keystones as they are crafted or loaded.
Compatibility
- XPortal: works. If its double portal cost setting is on, a portal costs 2 keystones.
- PlanBuild: finish or remove any portal plans before installing or removing this. A portal plan started before install loses the materials already in it.
- AzuMiscPatches: its item stack setting has not been tested with keystones, so leave it at 1.
Removing it
The server and every player need to remove it at the same time, or players cannot connect. Built portals stay, and once the mod is gone they give back the normal materials when you take them down, so build your keystones into portals first. Keystones still in inventories, chests or portal plans are lost.
