MeowHeim Food
Adds six crops, four reusable sauces, twelve late-biome dishes and Grey Gruel to the MeowHeim kitchen. Uses Valharvest's preparation table, the stone oven and the cauldron. BoneAppetit is not required.
Install version 0.1.1 on the server and every client. Requires Jotunn 2.30.2 or newer and Valharvest 3.4.2 or newer. Matching Food patch versions are required by Jotunn's compatibility check.
The current full-profile local check covers all seventeen recipes, seven natural oven conversions and thirteen meal uses, including Grey Gruel's Harvest Vigor. The original menu also has isolated farming and save/reload checks. Dedicated joins, multiplayer behavior and broader settings checks remain pending.
Build and test
Requires the .NET SDK, the current Valheim managed assemblies, and a Gale profile
with BepInEx, Jotunn 2.30.2 and Valharvest 3.4.2. The projects default to this PC's
paths. Override ValheimManaged and GaleProfile when building elsewhere.
dotnet build src/MeowHeim_Food/MeowHeim_Food.csproj -c Release
dotnet test tests/MeowHeim_Food.Tests/MeowHeim_Food.Tests.csproj
./scripts/Build-Package.ps1
Dependencies are read from the installed game/profile and excluded from build output. The plugin requires matching versions on clients and servers through Jotunn's compatibility check.
The package contains only the plugin, manifest, readme, changelog and approved
oven-and-pie icon. Packaging rebuilds the source, runs the automated checks and
rejects an icon that differs from art/ApprovedIcon.png. It writes a local ZIP
under dist; it does not install or publish anything. tests/FoodProbe is an
isolated development helper and is never part of that package.
Farming and cooking
Wild starter patches generate only in their source biome in newly generated terrain. Each gives one harvest and one seed. One seed grows three harvests; one harvest grows three seeds. The base growth range is 4,000 to 5,000 seconds. All six crops grow in cultivated ground across the land biomes. Existing farming and world modifiers may change effective yields or growth times.
Sauces have a base yield of four portions. Each late-biome two-serving meal batch uses one sauce portion. Seven meals need oven finishing, five cook at the cauldron and Northern Slaw is ready at the prep table. New harvests, seeds, sauces and unbaked dishes cannot be eaten. Finished food keeps its approved health, stamina, Eitr and duration.
Grey Gruel rewards a complete garden through Plains. Two apples, peppers, garlic, potatoes, tomatoes, pumpkins, corn and rice, plus one carrot, turnip and onion, make two servings at a level-4 cauldron. Each provides 55 health, 55 stamina, 4 base health regeneration and 45 minutes. Its porridge glows softly. Harvest Vigor gives 10% faster stamina regeneration while the meal remains active.
Installed crafting mods and skill bonuses can increase these base quantities. AAA Crafting's repeated-craft bonus also applies to this content. With the current AutomaticFuel settings, ovens eject one finished item per raw input automatically.
Thyme Cream returns the milk containers actually consumed, including bulk crafts. It places returned bottles on the ground if inventory has no room. Its return replaces Valharvest's return only for this recipe; other recipes are unchanged. The optional AzuCraftyBoxes integration also counts milk consumed from nearby containers. If its accounting API cannot load, cream crafting is disabled while the other recipes and existing items remain available.
Meshes are built from original low-poly geometry in the visual source files, including distinct harvests, growing plants, seed heads and prepared dishes. Sauces use grey handled cups. Dishes use different shapes, grey cookware, wooden serving boards and recipe-related garnishes. Leeks use the selected dark forest-green foliage and subdued stalk. Client icons render from those models and are cached by plugin/game version. No native game or third-party asset bundles are redistributed.
Do not remove this plugin from a world containing its items or plants. Distribution in an existing world requires a separate plan; this build does not reset zones or retrofit existing terrain.
