NoCreatureDust is a mod for Valheim that aims to enhance the player's experience by providing options to remove the visual effects (VFX) seen when creatures die. Specifically, by default it disables the default "dust" effects, with further options to remove additional ragdoll and death effects that may be added by the game or other mods.

Client Only Mod

Remove All Effects: Option to remove all visual effects from when a creature dies, not just the vanilla dust. This feature is intended for players who seek a cleaner visual experience during gameplay.
- BONUS Side Effect: This feature when on, technically makes the loot instantly appear on the ground when a creature dies, rather than waiting for the death animation to finish. This can be useful for players who want to quickly loot creatures and move on, or for players who are experiencing lag or performance issues when creatures die.
Remove All Ragdoll Effects: Provides the ability to remove all ragdoll effects from creatures, offering a way to further reduce visual clutter and potentially improve game performance on lower-end systems.

Designed to be compatible with most other mods. However, mods that significantly alter creature death mechanics may conflict (not tested with many mods). Though should be more compatible than the other alternative instant loot mods. With the right settings, you can make your loot drop faster than the other InstantLootMods. This is because the loot is dropped instantly when the creature dies, rather than waiting for the death animation to finish.

Installation Instructions

You must have BepInEx installed correctly! I can not stress this enough.

Note: (Manual installation is likely how you have to do this on a server, make sure BepInEx is installed on the server correctly)

Install r2modman or Thunderstore Mod Manager.

For r2modman, you can also install it through the Thunderstore site.

For Thunderstore Mod Manager, you can also install it through the Overwolf app store
Open the Mod Manager and search for "NoCreatureDust" under the Online tab. Note: You can also search for "Azumatt" to find all my mods.

Click the Download button to install the mod.
Launch the game.
