This mod never worked on my server Done

I'm not sure why but this mod never worked on my server. It created the config file, nothing has been changed from default, yet it never added any pins to the map from me. I think one player noticed it working for him... sometimes? I'm not sure.

Perhaps I misunderstood how this works? Currently have v2.0.14 installed.

If you meant map and not map table: The default only adds pins to cartography tables. When a player comes within a certain range of a cartography table (default is 64m), the portals and ships the player placed and dungeons/ore deposits the player discoverd (check the config for what "discoverd" means) are added as pins to the table. Players then need to manually read from that table. (On my server I placed one in the AutoPortalHub with AdminOptions).

That said, I was not yet able to truly test this with multiple players, just my lonesome on a dedicated server. So it's not a far fetched idea that it doesn't work properly with multiple players and I just didn't notice yet.

Okay so I misunderstood its functionality I guess. So you're saying it just records when someone goes near the table, then when someone reads it, it auto updates that user (or perhaps even without a user reading the table)? In that case neither works well when 4 people have their own map table and no one goes near them, but that's besides the point.

Yes, but I'm open to suggestions. What did you expect or how would you want it to work?

I expected it to work the other way around, when players finds a POI it records it to his map so the players doesn't have to pin it themselves, and it would also keep the clutter more organized on the map for everyone when someone records their info to a map table and anyone else reads it. For example players tends to forget pinning portal and ship positions, and if that was kept updated automatically it would be immensely helpful.

It's not that seamless because there a limit to what I can do serverside-only. It's possible to add pins to player maps directly (without the detour via map table), but not to remove them. So if I added ships/portals to player maps, they would end up with a lot of obsolete pins they'd have to clean up manually. Not a good solution. That's why I'm adding the pins to map tables automatically. So players don't need to remember to pin portals or ships, they just need to read from the map table.

For dungeons/ore deposists, there is another option: You can set PinTarget = DiscoveringPlayer. That will add dungeon/ore deposit pins directly to player maps when they are discovered. A dungeon is treated as discovered for a player if the player enters a certain range (4m by default) around the entrance, an ore deposit is discovered if it is damaged (hit by pickaxe, troll, etc.) in the presence of the player.
